I wanted the print, "Mine for a Moment", because it really touched me when I saw it in an exhibit. I didn't know the story behind it until my friend printed it off for me and sent it to me. On June 28th it will be 6 years since my son-in-law was shot down in Afghanistan, leaving behind his wife (my daughter) and their 2 daughters, ages 6 and 7. It was the perfect piece of art for me! Like you, I know that God knew the days that Tre' was to live here even before he was born. The loss is still there, but God is so faithful and I could tell you story after story of how God has been faithful in caring for Leslie, Samantha, and Elizabeth. They are stepping out in faith again as they are preparing to move to Franklin to be nearer to family. We know God will care for them and lead them.

Thank you again. Your paintings are beautiful! God bless you.

I was introduced to your painting from a friend. While I do not have a copy of it now, it is something I would love to get in the future. When I was halfway through my pregnany with my daughter we found out that she had a fatal disorder and wouldn't live. She was born still on March 28, 2009. Not a day goes by that I don't think of her. Your painting makes me think of the day when we are in Heaven together, running through the meadows hand in hand. I can't wait for that day.

Kelly,

Hi .... It was so nice to meet you and your husband! And thank you SO MUCH for the picture! I love it. I am going to have it framed and hang it near our Aimee's things in our house. I posted for the giveaway for the other 2 prints and added a link to your site. I hope that you have a lot of visitors, and word spreads about your beautiful painting.
I noticed on the letter that you included that you could do a custm painting of a loved one. I was wondering what that would cost?  We do what we call "Amiee gifts" for each other at birthdays and christmas. It is our way of including her around the special days and holidays.

I cannot begin to tell you the emotion I felt as Nate showed me the incredible "Mine For A Moment" painting - I could barely speak.  We are so grateful for this beautiful artistic expression, and we are moving quickly to have it framed and placed in our home.  I am so impressed with you two in so many ways, but mostly how you just seem to "get it".  You are wise way beyond your years, and I know your life will be blessed in ways you cannot even begin to imagine.  It has been so difficult losing our son, but receiving so many acts of love from people like you has certainly helped us to heal.

Again, thank you for the incredible gift, and thank you for being such caring and loving young people.

Much love to both of you,

D. and D.W.

I lost my daughter on March 29,1996. I had told you about this then but did not tell you how. She was murdered by her father. I was at work when this happened. I never in a million years would have ever believed this could happen to me. I have been given God's Grace to have survived this loss and in such a horrific way to have lost my only daughter. Her name was C.C. and she was beautiful, looked just like me, and today she would have been 15. I have a son who is 16 and a wonderful husband who are my everything...

I do not have anger in my heart, only forgiveness. It has taking me a very long time to get at this point. Because of my Faith I forgive. I would very much love to have a print of Mine for a Moment. Also my husband and I are trying to adopt through CPS will you please keep us in your prayers.

My heart goes out to you for your ministry you are doing with Mine for a Moment.

How great is our God? I thank him for letting me find you. Your artwork of Mind for a Moment means so much to me. God Bless You!

Kelly,

You will never know just how much the "Mine For a Moment" print means to my husband and me. It has taken me years to get to the letting go stage (I'm like Mack from "The Shack.") and your beautiful painting really depicts my feelings of passing my son back to God. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Kelly,

I had to send you a note just to tell you how much I love "Mine For a Moment" I'm not sure how much of our story you know, but my husband and I let go of our daughter into heaven 5 months ago. She lived two days. When I received your print from K.W., I was amazed and touched. A beautiful little girl and a beautiful story to go with it.

Thank you for being sensitive to the LORD in painting this picture and blessing me abundantly! This picture will hang in our home forever.

Kelly, Thank you for the framed print of this painting. We hung it in the office so it can bless patients and friends as much as its blessed us. I literally feel like a breeze of blessing touches me every time I walk by. The fact that you finished this right as I walked in the door is especially touching to me. I felt like God reminded me personally through you that each of us is to be loved for these moments we have now... I believe that is not a coincidence that the little model you found is called Eliana, "God hears our prayers" and her story is a story of hope. How sweet it is that we know her parents well from our Nashville days. God was sending us a personal message of hope and love. I know that God will touch many more lives through your work, especially this particular painting. I'm looking forward to hearing other stories from recipients of this gift. :)

I was on your website, looking at your beautiful drawings and came across "Mine for a Moment." No words. I have just traveled this leg of the journey in my own life on behalf of a dear friend of mine, and after weeks of tears and endless hours of prayer came to the same conclusion - "mine for a moment." Thank you for being so in tune to the Spirit to capture it on canvas, and then to offer it as you have, truly a ministry. Thank you.

On August 11th my friend delivered her second child, her first daughter, only to discover immediately the unexpected fate that awaited them. The little girl, perfect to the naked eye, had severe brain damage and lived only 2 days. Oh the agony. Her mom and my friend , is so beautiful in every way - words just cannot express... Ever since I saw your piece I haven't been able to get it out of my mind. The little girl you painted looks just like what I imagine my friend's baby would look like - the hair color, the skin tone - it's just perfect. I have to give her one of these.

In the early hours of this morning, my dearest friend and sister released her life here on earth to begin her forever in Heaven. We are sorrowful, yes... but ever joyful that she is face to face with the love of her life... Christ Jesus.

I would like to have a print to display at her celebration service.

Thank you so much for sharing your heart and inspiration. Many people will be touched forever by its beauty and story behind it. Please extend a very big thank you to those who donated so that our family could have these to remind ourselves of who this amazing woman we so dearly loved really belonged to.
